[Activity Report] Visit to Local Buyers in Hong Kong
In September 2025, we visited local buyers in Hong Kong.
As one of the key markets for Japanese agricultural, forestry, and fishery products, Hong Kong—roughly half the size of Tokyo, with about 80% of its land covered by steep rocky mountains—is home to around 7.5 million people.
With relatively low trade barriers such as regulations and tariffs, Hong Kong has become a marketplace where a wide variety of goods from Japan and around the world converge.
Amid an environment where both domestic and international products are already widely distributed, we once again recognized the importance of having a carefully crafted strategy when entering any market.
